Is Cosmetic Skin Tag Removal Appropriate for Me?
A cosmetic consultation may be appropriate when a familiar skin tag:
- Catches on clothing, jewellery, or shaving
- Becomes irritated by repeated friction
- Bothers you because of its appearance
- Is in a location that can be reviewed safely for cosmetic treatment
Vicaria does not diagnose skin conditions. See a licensed physician or dermatologist first if a lesion is new or uncertain, changes in colour or shape, bleeds without being snagged, becomes painful, is dark or irregular, or looks unlike your other spots.
How Skin Tag Removal Works
For suitable cosmetic cases, Vicaria uses electrocautery, which applies controlled heat to a small treatment area.
- Consultation: We review the location, number of spots, relevant history, expected cost, and whether the case appears suitable for our cosmetic service.
- Treatment: The area is cleaned and treated with electrocautery. Sensation varies, but many clients describe a brief warm feeling or pinch.
- Aftercare: You receive instructions for keeping the area clean and for recognizing changes that require follow-up.
Appointment length depends on the number, size, and location of the spots. Temporary redness or a small scab is common. Healing time and cosmetic results vary, and scarring, pigment change, bleeding, or infection are possible.

The eyelid and surrounding eye area require particular caution. Do not attempt home removal near the eye. Depending on the location, we may direct you to a licensed physician or eye-care professional.

- Skin tag removal: $20-$25 per lesion plus tax, based on size and location
What your first visit costs: the consultation and the treatment happen in the same appointment when the spots are suitable, so your total that day is the $60 consultation plus the per-lesion price:
- 1 lesion: about $80-$85 + tax
- 3 lesions: about $120-$135 + tax
- 5 lesions: about $160-$185 + tax

Who Does the Removal
Maurin Casella and Yamilet Pina are both certified Skin Tags Removal Technicians, trained at the Chellsey Institute of Beauty & Health and certified in March 2024. The course covers the removal technique itself, which is the same across the lesions treated here — there is no separate certificate per lesion type.
It is a cosmetic qualification, not a medical one. It covers the removal itself — not deciding what a lesion is, which is why anything uncertain is referred to a licensed physician or dermatologist before any treatment is booked.
